Takara Galleryはデザイナーやアーティストの生み出した「作品＝タカラモノ」を、シルクスクリーン印刷でプリントして作られたプロダクトを中心に集めたオンラインギャラリーショップとして、2009年にて立ち上げました。
命を吹き込んで生み出したアーティストの「タカラモノ」をあなたの「タカラモノ」の一つにしてください！というコンセプトからTakara Gallery（タカラギャラリー）と名付けました。
また岐阜県の郡上八幡という地域は、シルクスクリーン印刷の発祥地とも言われ、盛んな地場産業の一つでもあります。
古い産業を新しい目線でたくさんの人に知ってもらおうと、2012年の8月に実店舗となる Takara Gallery workroom（タカラギャラリーワークルーム） をオープンしました。
タカラギャラリーの作業室＝workroom として、シルクスクリーン印刷が気軽に体験できます。
郡上には「郡上おどり」という有名な夏祭りがあり、郡上おどりは「踊り下駄」と「手ぬぐい」が必須アイテムでもあります。
その「手ぬぐい」を郡上の地場産業「シルクスクリーン印刷」で作ってもらい、その手ぬぐいを持ってまた郡上八幡に遊びに来てもらいたい！という思いを込めて 「手作り手ぬぐい体験」がいつでもできるお店を作りました。

Please come and make your own Tenugui!
Takara Gallery was established in 2009.It is an online gallery shop where we feature products that are designed by selected artists/designers, and screen printed by us.
The name Takara gallery was derived from the Japanese word 'takara' which means 'treasure'. We believe that every creation by the artists and designers we collaborate with is a piece of treasure. We hope that you can make this 'treasure' a part of your daily life.
Gujo city is not only a popular holiday destination but it is also recognized as the birthplace of screen printing in Japan which is one of the flourishing industries.
In 2012, we opened Takara Gallery Workroom, a retail shop and screen printing studio where customers can experience hands-on screen printing. Our aim is to let more people learn about this old industry through a new perspective.
Gujo Hachiman has a popular traditional summer dance festival called Gujo Odori. Some of the essential items for the dance are Geta (Japanese clogs) and Tenugui (Japanese traditional towel)! We conduct hands-on Tenugui screen printing sessions at our studio every day. We hope that our customers will come back to the summer dance festival one day with the Tenugui that they've screen printed at our studio!
